1967 Porsche 912 Coupe serial number 461183 engine number 753444 Paint code 6605 Champagne
Yellow with black interior car has 77,145 miles. This is the last year of the SWB body 912 with the
covered headlights and the green faced gauges and aluminium dash fascia. Pre-smog era example.
This car has been in California its whole life and is a bone dry non rusty example still on the California
black plate. One repaint in a color fairly close the original done probably twenty years ago, still shows
well with some minor flaws . The car runs out very well with receipts showing a total motor rebuild in the
mid 1980's and clutch replacement as well as other maintence the car has also been fitted with Weber
Carbs and a Sport exhaust which really allow the car to perform very nicely but they are also easily
removed, it was fitted with an oil cooler as well for added reliability. After market period correct wheels
are fitted to the car. Car comes with a good service history, the owners manual and jack also. These
cars are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition as most of them rusted away or
people changed them to look like later cars. There are 121 additional photos listed on this link, study
them carefully as they show the car in detail, look at the underside shots to see how rust free the body
is, it is very rare to find a car like this. This is a special example in that it isn't rusty at all and is very
original with the exception of the one repaint. With prices of early 911 cars going higher these cars are
increasing in value as people realize that. they represent a great value in an early Porsche classic that
is fun to drive, easy to keep on the road and a solid motoring investment. |
