1964 Jaguar XKE Roadster Red with red interior. Two owner car with 44,000 miles Same owner
since 1999. The original owner, Maj. M. D. Hilbert, residing at 816 Azalea Drive, Fayetteville, NC
purchased it on the 26th of May, 1964. It was built on 4 February 1964 and shipped to Jaguar
Cars, New York, on 21 February1964. It was originally silver grey with red interior and a black
top. It is an original, unmolested car with the exception of one repaint about 25 years ago when
the color was changed to red. All of the original documentation on the car such as warranty
papers, owner’s manual, lubrication chart, etc. It also has the original jack, tool kit, etc. The
original set of wire wheels and knock offs which are in very good condition are with the car and
currently installed on the car are a set of original style Dayton chrome/stainless steel wires with
new knock offs when I put new tires on the car several years ago.A Falcon stainless steel
original style exhaust system as well as a Pertronix electronic ignition (of course, the original
point set up which could be reinstalled is with the car). The convertible top is in perfect
condition and also included is a factory removable hardtop for the car. |
